This lab provides a comprehensive foundation for designing, building, and deploying generative AI solutions and sophisticated AI agents using Microsoft Foundry and the Azure AI ecosystem. Students will master the end-to-end lifecycle of AI applications, from provisioning development environments to orchestrating complex multi-agent workflows. Key skills developed include evaluating and fine-tuning foundational models, enforcing responsible AI guardrails, and extending agent capabilities through custom functions, the Model Context Protocol (MCP), and Foundry IQ. By integrating Azure AI Search, Azure Content Understanding, and Azure Document Intelligence, participants will learn to build multimodal applications capable of extracting actionable insights from text, speech, vision, and complex document structures. Finally, participants will learn to deploy these enterprise-ready solutions to collaborative platforms like Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
